I had a good experience at Merlin and learned a lot, but I felt I was ready for a role with broader ownership and more challenging engineering problems. I wanted to work on systems where I could contribute more to architecture, product direction, and end-to-end execution.
After Merlin, I intentionally used the period to go deeper into AI-native full-stack engineering, built two serious projects, and started applying once I had stronger proof of work.
ABOUT GAP:
Subject: Founding Engineer Interest — Shubhojeet Hi [Name], I built Edward, a prompt-to-production platform that turns LLM output into deployed frontend apps — job queues, sandboxed builds, crash-recoverable state, all without LangChain. Spent the last several months building it after my last internship, specifically to get hands-on with the infra problems agentic systems actually run into. Would love to show you how it works if you're hiring for [role]. [link]
